HAMILTON, N.Y. – The first round of the Patriot League Championship was completed on Saturday, but play was suspended at the start of the second round and Army sits in a tie for third on the leaderboard.
Â
Play in the second round was suspended due to unsafe course conditions after it had snowed for most of the opening round of play. Competition is scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning with student-athletes continuing from where they came off the course on Saturday. Round three is scheduled to follow at the conclusion of round two on Sunday.Â
Â
Army had moved up to third when play was halted with Andrew Watts birding the 12th hole as he started on ninth hole so start his second round. Watts was the only Black Knight to complete holes in the second round.Â
Â
The Black Knights are third with a +13 on the board after shooting a 302 as a team in round one. Bucknell and Lafayette were tied atop the leaderboard when play stopped at +12, but two strokes separate the top five teams heading into Sunday.
