Clark and Ferris to Represent Golf at the 2025 Patriot All-America
December 28, 2025 | Men's Golf
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Army Golfers junior Zach Clark and senior Rob Ferris have been selected to represent the Black Knights at the 2025 Patriot All-America event on Dec. 29-31. Ferris will be playing in the Patriot Division while Clark will be playing in the Thunderbolt division.
The event features 54 holes with 222 national recognized players across three separate divisions: Patriot Men's Division (84 players), The Patriot Women's Division (66 players) and the recently added Thunderbolt division (72 players).
Each golfer receives and carries a commemorative PING golf bag that bears the name and branch of a fallen or wounded hero from their hometown or school. Additionally, all of the golfers can visit Luke Air Force Base, the training center for our nation's F-16 and F-35 fighter pilots. There, they meet with the General, fighter pilots and crew, and tour the base while participating in activities rarely seen by civilians. The players carry the bag and honor that soldier throughout the week.
Ferris will be playing in honor of Army First Lieutenant Michael L. Runyan of Neward, Ohio. Runyan was assigned to 52nd Infantry, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He died July 21, 2010, of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his convoy vehicle with an improvised explosive device in Muqdadiyah, Iraq.
