SERVICES PROVIDED
- One-on-One Academic Counseling: Academic counselors work with cadets to devise an action plan to succeed during the semester. Plans are revisited frequently and adjusted as the semester progresses.
- Test prep and Organization: Cadets work with academic counselors to learn the fundamentals of time management and organization. Plans are personalized to each cadet. Academic counselors also work on study techniques for the different disciplines and exam styles that cadets will face.
- Study Hall: Study hall is offered to all teams and cadet-athletes during the Evening Study Period. Rooms are provided and monitored in Thayer Hall, offering a quiet, studious environment. Study sessions are offered in study hall prior to select major graded events.
- Tutoring: Cadet tutors are available upon request in virtually every subject area in collaboration with the Center for Enhanced Performance. Tutors are recruited from the Corps of Cadets and receive CRLA training and certification. Opportunities to tutor are available to cadets across all grade years.
- Instructor feedback: Athletic Academic Support Coordinators communicate with instructors about the cadet's academic progress and share the information with the cadet to help facilitate improvement.
- Officer Representative Communication: AASCs communicate regularly with ORs about what the entire cadet picture looks like.
- NCAA Eligibility Monitoring: Athletic Academic Support Coordinators consistently monitor and advise cadets on their continuing NCAA eligibility. Personalized plans and projections are developed throughout the semester.
