Golf Earns Third Place Finish at Nassau Intercollegiate

GLEN COVE, N.Y. – Army West Point golf finished play at the Nassau Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. The Black Knights finished in third place with sophomore Tyson Sparks tying for third place individually.

Sparks finished the tournament with two rounds under of 69 (-1) in both the first and third rounds. The Black Knights finished the first round with the third best round among all teams. Griffin Garvin and Drew Jeffords both finished in the top 20 among all competitors in the field. Army led all teams in pars with 165 and eagles+.

Additionally, Griffin Garvin started the tournament strong, hitting a hole in on the first hole of the tournament. Garvin was the only golfer to hit a hole in one.
