Sprint Football Readies for Road Test Versus Penn

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point sprint football team travels to Philadelphia for its first road contest of the 2016 season to face the Quakers of Pennsylvania on Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Black Knights hold a 54-6 advantage in the all-time series against Penn, which dates back to Army's inaugural season of 1957.Â

ARMY (1-0, 1-0 CSFL)
• Army was the only team in the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) to post a shutout in week one.
• This was the second-straight season the Black Knights have opened the season with a shutout, and the sixth shutout in the last eight games, dating back to 2008.
• Army's top-ranked pass defense efficiency will meet Penn's top-ranked passing attack Friday night.
• Sophomore wide receiver Clayton Carter currently ranks second in the CSFL in scoring, while placing fourth in receiving yards.
• John Abercrombie was named the CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week after booting a 36-yard field goal and going 5-for-5 on PAT attempts in the season-opening victory over Chestnut Hill.

• McCurdy opened his 2016 campaign with a 16-of-28 effort through the air for 261 yards and two touchdowns.
• Sophomore running back Max Jones is a threat in the backfield, netting 94 yards on 14 carries in the season-opener.
