Sprint Football Earns 14 CSFL Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Army West Point Sprint Football earned 14 CSFL awards as announced by the league on Tuesday morning. Notably, freshman Marek Arbogast was named the conference rookie of the year.
The Black Knights saw four players named to the All-Conference Offensive First Team, three named to the All-Conference Defensive First Team and two to the All-Conference Offensive Second Team and three to the All-Conference Defensive Second Team.
Freshman Marek Arbogast appeared primarily as a punt return specialist for the Black Knights. The New York native, appeared in all eight games with 16 receptions for 251 yards and three touchdowns.
Junior Kyle West was named to the All-Conference Offensive First Team for the second consecutive season, having started in all of the Black Knights games this season, finishing with 17 passing touchdowns and 112 completions for 1563 passing yards. Joining West on the first team were senior offensive linemen Luke Melton and Chance Pogue. Junior Parker Williams also earned a spot on the first team with 496 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, junior Cameron Allen earned first team honors after leading the team with 7.5 sacks for 47 yards and finishing second among the Black Knights with 40 total tackles. Joining Allen on the first team was senior Louis Petkus for the second straight season as a first team All-CSFL selection. Petkus finished with a team leading 24 solo tackles and 46 total tackles. Junior Mason Beriault was also named a first team All-Conference Defensive Selection, finishing with 24 tackles and appeared in seven games for the Black Knights.
The duo of Carson McFadden and Jack Van Til were named to the All-Conference Offensive Second team, while Tyrus Carter, Thomas Golio, Jake Oxendine and Zion Sims were named to the All-Conference Defensive Second Team.
