Prior to West Point: Played high school women’s basketball and graduated as the valedictorian at The Steward School, located in Richmond, Virginia… In her senior season, Thomas was named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-State, First Team All-Metro and was also a McDonald’s All-American Nominee… Reached the 500 career assists milestone in her final year… Her junior season, she was named First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State, plus was named to the Coaches For Change All-Tournament Team, plus led the state of Virginia in most assists per game… Played at the AAU level for seven years, playing for Boo Williams, Elevate Elite and WV Thunder… Received several accolades for her work on and off the court, including being a member of the National Honors Society and the Head of School’s List (All A Honor Roll) for three years, plus earned the West Point of Richmond Leadership Award her junior year, the Ray Tate Scholarship Award and the James Buis Athletic Scholarship Award in her senior year… Involved in several organizations including Friendship Circle Virginia Teen Leadership Board, Gold Chicken Friends Board, Athlete Mental Health Awareness Club, where she was co-president, Student Council Association, FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools), was involved with SportsBackers Active Living Leadership Cohort & Capstone Project her senior year and served as a volunteer basketball coach for the Special Olympics… Her mother, Alison Bradley-Thoman, played women’s soccer and graduated from the Academy, finishing her service in the Army as a first lieutenant.
