Prior to West Point: Played high school women’s basketball at Red Bank Catholic, located in Red Bank, New Jersey… Competed for New Jersey Rise through her entire AAU career… Earned several accolades across her high school and AAU career… Maletsky was named Shore Sports Insider Defensive Player of the Year (2025-26) and Hoop Group Most Improved Player, plus received Shore Sports Insider All-Defensive Team (2025-26), Hoop Group All-Defense Team, Hoop Group Second Team All-State (2024-25) and Hoop Group All-Freshman Team (2022-23) honors… Won several championships, including the NJSIAA Non-Public A State title and Shore Conference A North Champion title, plus the NJSIAA Non-Public South A Sectional and Shore Conference Tournament Champion titles over multiple seasons… Competed in major NCAA live periods, Select Events, Blueprint, Run 4 the Roses and national showcase tournaments… Helped NJ Rise earn championships and deep runs at regional and national events throughout her AAU career… Off the court, earned academic excellence awards through all four years of high school and was a member of ARISTA… Her family member, Frank Carotenuto, is an active staff sergeant, a special forces engineer and US Army ranger… Her brother, Andrew Zapata, played baseball and was a pitcher for UConn… Her uncle, Daniel Goffredo, played football at Fairfield University.
