Five Swim & Dive Athletes Set For 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After an impressive regular season for the Black Knights, including a 5-2 overall record with a 3-1 mark in conference dual meets as well as second place finishes from both the men's and women's teams at the Patriot League Championships, Army West Point Swim & Dive is set to continue their 2023-24 schedule at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials over Saturday, June 15-Sunday, June 23. NBC will have live streaming coverage along with the USA Network and Peacock.

Five Army cadet athletes clocked times fast enough to earn them a spot in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, hosted in Indianapolis, Ind. at Lucas Oil Stadium over the next eight days. Kal Hahn, Kohen Rankin, Owen Harlow, Sam Wesley, and Aurelie Migault will all hit the pool in the coming week to attempt to qualify for the 2024 Olympic games in their respective events.
Migault and Hahn both make history with their appearances for Army at the Trials as Migault stands as the first member of the Army West Point Swim team to ever compete at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and Hahn stands as the first member of the Army West Point Swim program to ever compete at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in two events.
Both Kal Hahn and Sam Wesley earned their qualifications at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Westmont, Ill. in March of 2024. Wesley earned a time of 2:01.87 in the men's 200 IM at the same meet to clear the standard of 2:03.49 while Hahn clocked a 4:24.97 in the men's 400 IM at the meet to clear the time standard of 4:25.19 to qualify for his first event.
Hahn qualified for the men's 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:15.26 at the MW FAST GOAL Sprint Cup in May of 2023 to pass the 2:15.99 time standard for the event.
Kohen Rankin also earned his spot at the Trials at a TYR Pro Swim Series event, but he clocked his time of 1:02.18 in the men's 100 Breaststroke to clear the time standard of 1:02.19 at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in March of 2023.
Aurelie Migault claimed her spot in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at the Phillips 66 USA National Championships, hosted at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. in June of 2023 where her time of 1:09.48 in the women's 100 Breaststroke cleared the time standard of 1:10.29 to see her through to the Trials.
Yearling Owen Harlow qualified for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the men's 50 Freestyle in the 2023 season with a time of 22.71 to clear the time standard of 22.79 for the event and earn his spot in Indianapolis.
Kohen Rankin will compete first on Saturday, June 15th in the men's 100 Breaststroke with the finals following on the same day.
Sunday, June 16th will see Kalvin Hahn compete in his first event, the men's 400 IM, followed by Aurelie Migault in the women's 100 Breaststroke. Should Hahn advance in the 400 IM, the finals will also occur on Sunday while if Migault advances in the 100 Breaststroke, the semifinals will also take place on Sunday with the finals to follow on Monday, June 17th.
Hahn will take to the pool once more on Tuesday, June 18th for the men's 200 Breaststroke with the semifinals also taking place on Tuesday should he advance and the finals to follow on Wednesday, June 19th.
The Black Knights' final two swimmers in the competition compete on Thursday, June 20th as Owen Harlow swims in the 50 Freestyle and Sam Wesley takes on the men's 200 IM. If either swimmer advances out of their first heat, the semifinals for their event will also take place on Thursday with the finals for both events taking place on Friday, June 21st.
