Men’s Swimming & Diving Closes 2025-26 Season at 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Army West Point swimming & diving concluded its 2025-26 season as a contingent of Black Knights competed at the 2026 NCAA DI Men's Swimming & Diving Championships in Atlanta from Wednesday-Saturday at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center.

The Black Knights sent Kohen Rankin and Johnny Crush to the national meet for individual events as well as a trio of relay events. Army sent Daniel Verdolaga, Thomas Hadji, Ben Vorthmann, Max Jordan, and Joey Kling to Atlanta as members of its relay squads.

Kohen Rankin earned Army's first points of the meet in the 100 breast on Thursday as he clocked a 51.47 to finish third in his heat.

Rankin's time ranked 13^th out of all swimmers in the event and earned him Second Team All-American honors in the event – the second consecutive season Army has earned an All-American recognition at the national meet.

Army continued to heat up in the water in Atlanta on day three as Johnny Crush clocked the seventh-fastest time in the field of the 100 back preliminaries to advance to the night's championship final for the second consecutive season.

Crush stepped up the pace and delivered an impressive performance for the Black Knights, shattering his former program record of 44.10 with a 43.84 to finish fifth overall, set a new program and Patriot League record, and earn his second First Team All-American recognition for the event.

The sophomore from Louisville, Ky. is now just the second Black Knight in program history to earn back-to-back All-American honors in the 100 back since Peter Witteried claimed the honors in 1952, 1953, and 1954.

Army's 400 medley relay squad put on a strong showing in the morning heats, clocking a program record-setting time of 3:03.43 from Johnny Crush, Kohen Rankin, Daniel Verdolaga, and Thomas Hadji to finish third in their heat and 18^th overall in the event.

The Black Knights concluded their time at the 2026 national meet in the 400 free relay on day four as Ben Vorthmann, Thomas Hadji, Johnny Crush, and Kohen Rankin combined for a 2:51.01 to finish 28^th overall in the event.
