Women’s Swimming & Diving Completes Historic Week at 2026 NCAA DI Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – Army West Point women's swimming & diving made program history in Atlanta at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. Catriona Gilmore, Molly Webber, and Angie McKane made their mark on the Black Knights' program history as the first women's swimmers to compete at the national meet since Army women's swimming & diving began Division I competition in 1991.
The trio competed on the second and third days of the four-day meet hosted at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta in the 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, and 500 freestyle.

Sophomore Angie McKane kicked things off for the Black Knights as she competed in the 100 butterfly preliminaries on Wednesday. McKane clocked a 51.48 in heat three to finish fourth in her heat and 19th overall in the event.
Senior Catriona Gilmore competed in the 100 breaststroke preliminaries on Wednesday where she swam in the first heat of the event. Gilmore recorded a time of 1:00.57 to finish third in her heat and 40th overall.
All three of Army's women's swimmers in Atlanta competed on the third day of the meet, led off by McKane in the 100 backstroke preliminaries. The Corning, N.Y. native posted a time of 53.19 to finish third in her heat and 49th overall in the event.
Gilmore swam her second event of the meet in the 200 breaststroke on Thursday where she swam a 2:12.69 to finish eighth in her heat and 52nd overall.
Molly Webber closed out Army's time at the 2026 NCAA DI Women's Swimming & Diving National Championships with her performance in the 500 freestyle. Webber clocked a 4:45.51 to finish fourth in her heat and 45th overall in the event.
