Women's Lacrosse Returns Home for Matchup With Hofstra

WEST POINT, NY – Army West Point women's lacrosse (0-4) will return home for just its second home game of the campaign on Saturday at noon, taking on Hofstra (1-2) from Michie Stadium. Following the game will be the annual leadHER Field Day presented by USAA in the Foley Athletic complex.

- Army fell by a score of 16-9 at #24 Rutgers this past Saturday.
- Brigid Duffy and Allison Reilly led the Black Knights with two goals each to go along with an assist.
- Duffy had a career-high five ground balls in the effort to go along with six of Army's ten draw controls.
- Meghan Pedrani caused a pair of turnovers while picking up three ground balls.
- Lacey Bartholomay made seven saves in the cage making her first appearance of the season.
- Brigid Duffy currently ranks in the top-five in the Patriot League in ground balls (14), caused turnovers (7) and draw controls (21).
- Duffy leads the Black Knights in each category along with goals (11) and assists (5).
- She has posted at least three points and four draw controls in each game this season.

- The Black Knights won the inaugural meeting 13-12 on Feb. 19, 2022, a game played indoors at Foley Athletic Complex at West Point which marked Michelle Tumolo's first win at the helm of the Black Knights.

- Duffy had a game-high four goals and seven points in the win.
- Lindsey Serafine got her first career win in the cage in last season's matchup, coming on in relief to make four saves on five shots faced.
- Hofstra opened the season with a win over LIU before falling at #15 USC and Fairfield.
- The Pride have been led by graduate students Taylor Mennella and Melissa Saconone who have each attained ten points through three games.
- Hofstra was selected fifth in the CAA Preseason Poll following a (4-12, 1-6 CAA) campaign in 2023.
- Mennella was a Preseason All-CAA selection at the attack position.
- Sophomore Luchianna Cardello has started all three games in the cage and boasts a .520 save-percentage and 9.66 GAA.
