Men's Soccer Falls to Lehigh in League Opener
September 22, 2018 | Men's Soccer
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team began its Patriot League season with a 3-0 loss to Lehigh on Saturday night at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.
"We were in control for most of the first half but we let ourselves down in one moment and good teams like Lehigh will capitalize when that happens," head coach Russell Payne said. "It was good to have Tyler Mitchiner back on the field tonight and I know we'll get back in sync as a group."
Justin Stoll had a busy night with the Mountain Hawks (4-3-1) totaling 14 shots in the match. The Black Knights' (3-4-1) goalkeeper sent away five Lehigh shots on goal.
