Cadets Drop League Tilt to No. 24 Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team fell, 3-0, to No. 24 Colgate in a Patriot League contest on Saturday afternoon at Beyer-Small '76 Field.
The Raiders (5-1-4, 1-0-1 Patriot League) picked up their first league win of the season after setting a season-high in goals versus the Black Knights (3-5-1, 0-2 Patriot League).
Army and Colgate finished even in corners with three apiece, but the Raiders totaled 17 shots in the game compared to the Black Knights' four.

The Black Knights will return to West Point for a two-game homestand starting with a 7 p.m. matchup with Lafayette on Wednesday night at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.

- Keenan O'Shea led the Black Knights with three shots versus the Raiders.
- Oscar Pereira recorded the other Army shot in the game.

- Justin Stoll made three saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colgate struck first on a goal that came late in the opening half. Stoll beat Abdel Sanogo to a loose ball near the Army net, but the junior goalkeeper could not corral it and Sanogo capitalized with the score to put the Raiders ahead 1-0 in the 37th minute.
- It was a quiet start to the second half with both sides combining for just two shots. However in the 80th minute, Steven Deleo saved a ball from going out on the end line and set up Sanogo for the score.
- Sanogo completed the hat trick with another goal two minutes later after sending a ball into the back of the net from the right wing.
