Army Welcomes San Diego State for Season Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team is set to open its 2017 campaign this Friday night against San Diego State at 7:30 p.m. at Clinton Field.
Friday's contest marks the first meeting between the Black Knights and the Aztecs.
ARMY (0-0, 0-0 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights were selected to finish fifth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll released on Wednesday.
• Sophomore Zac McGraw was tabbed the league's preseason defensive player of the year, while also joining fellow yearling, Rex Epps on the preseason all-league squad.
• Over the past 10 years, the Black Knights hold a 3-1-1 record in home openers, including a 3-1 victory over Air Force at Clinton Field a season ago.
• There are 12 new faces on the squad that will mix with a group of 16 returners from last year's team that competed in the Patriot League Tournament.
