Army Ready for Star Match Versus Navy Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team will host service-academy rival Navy on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Today's match will be indoors at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
The match will be the 20th event in the 2016-17 Army-Navy Star Series, presented by USAA. Navy currently holds an 11-8 advantage.

ARMY (15-5, 3-0 Patriot League)
• Army is 7-2 all-time against Navy, dating back to 2011.
• The Black Knights are currently riding an eight-match winning streak, the longest since a 10-match streak last season.
• Last time out, Army defeated NJIT, 6-1, on March 28.
• Kirby Einck leads the squad with 17 singles victories on the year, while being tied with Melanie Allen and Bridget Guenard for the most dual wins with eight.

• From last year's Star Match, Navy returned Amanda Keller (1st singles/1st doubles), Claudia Mackenzie (3rd singles/1st doubles), Carlee Conway (6th singles/2nd singles) and Audrey Channell (3rd doubles).
• Keller has been the main player in the top singles flight for Navy, competing in 16 of the team's 24 matches.
• Ansofi Wreder and Josie Rogers lead the team in singles dual wins with 10, while Wreder sports the best overall singles record at 23-8.
• In doubles, Emily Louie-Meadors and Claudia Mackenzie have been the best duo for the Mids, posting an overall record of 14-8 and 8-4 in duals, playing primarily in the top flight.
