Army Heads to Penn State for Varsity Cup Quarters

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The 10th-ranked Army West Point men's rugby team will travel to No. 8 Penn State for a Penn Mutual Varsity Cup Quarterfinal match on Saturday at the West Fields. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
The two sides met in the fall as Penn State handed the Black Knights their only loss of the semester with a 29-13 decision at the Anderson Rugby Complex. In that match, Penn State sprinted out to a 15-0 lead in the 28th minute before Army scored two penalty kicks off the right boot of Jon Kim to head into halftime down 15-6. An early score from the Nittany Lions made it a three-score game before they sealed it with another seven points in the 80th minute. The Black Knights, who continued to show a never-say-die attitude throughout the entire match, added one final score in the 82nd minute on a try from Jeff Malm-Annan and Kim's conversion.
