Coming off their 17th perfect season and 34th Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) championship in 2015, the Black Knights are looking to continue their tradition of winning after winning three of the last four CSFL titles under head coach Mark West.
Despite losing 18 seniors from the winningest graduating class in program history, Army has reloaded its team with the combination of veteran returners and talented newcomers.
This will be the first all-time meeting between the Cadets and Chestnut Hill after the Griffins founded their team in 2015.
ARMY (0-0, 0-0 CSFL)
• The Black Knights return nine All-CSFL members to their 2016 squad.
• Team captain Marqus Burrell is back for his senior season after leading Army's rushing attack each of the past two seasons, totaling 1,025 yards and 10 touchdowns in that span.
• Senior Austin Breed led the Black Knights' receiving corps in 2015 with 27 receptions for 309 yards and four touchdowns.
• Defensively, Army is led by senior team captain Matthew Tamburri, who recorded a team-high 46 tackles in 2015, and junior Tanner Anders, who compiled a league-high six interceptions.
CHESTNUT HILL (0-0, 0-0 CSFL)
• The Griffins are entering their second season in the CSFL after finishing 3-2 in their inaugural season.
• Chestnut Hill returns quarterback Reginald Robinson, who accumulated 779 all-purpose yards and 10 total touchdowns.
• Defensively, the Griffins return their top-four tackles from a year ago to a stout front seven that recorded 45 tackles for a loss of 204 yards and 13 sacks for a loss of 92 yards.
