ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Army improved to 6-0 all-time against Post.
- Today's 64-point showing was the most posted in a game since last season's record-setting 86-0 victory over Princeton on Sept. 25.
- The Black Knights recorded a season-high in passing yards with 321 in the game, led by Keegan West with 256.
- West's 73-yard touchdown pass to Austin Breed was the longest play of the season for Army.
- Freshman Jake Gigliotti recorded a touchdown on his first-career reception.
- Junior Curtis Jerzerick recorded a team-high 11 tackles for the second game this season.
TURNING POINTS
- Keegan West connected with Austin Breed for a 73-yard touchdown to open the game up towards the end of the first quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On the opening drive of the game, Army gained 59 yards on nine plays, capping the drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass from West to Galyean. West got the ball to Breed on the second play of the following drive to stretch Army's lead to double-digits.
- The Black Knights forced Post to punt on its first two possessions of the game and 10 times total.
- Army closed out the first quarter with a one-yard sack by Tanner Andrews and Curtis Jerzerick that went for a safety.
- Andrews would record his eighth-career interception and first of the season two drives later after Army forced a three-and-out on the previous Post possession.
- Running back Quay Gilmore forced his way into the end zone twice in the second quarter, sandwiched around a 16-yard receiving touchdown by Marqus Burrell.
- The Black Knights forced the Eagles to punt on six-consecutive drives, including five three-and-outs, from the 4:43 mark in the second quarter to the end of the third quarter.
- West recorded his fourth touchdown pass of the game with 6:11 remaining in the third quarter on a two-yard pass to Galyean, his second scoring reception of the afternoon.
- Jaylen Collier scampered for a pair of second-half touchdowns from five and seven yards, respectively.
- Brady Miller connected with freshman Jake Gigliotti from 20-yards out in the beginning of the fourth quarter.
UP NEXT
- The Black Knights welcome Franklin Pierce for senior night on Oct. 21, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Army will honor its seven seniors prior to the game during its senior day ceremonies.
