RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's swimming and diving team downed Patriot League opponents Colgate, 201-91, and Lafayette, 207-84, Saturday afternoon in Hamilton, N.Y.

"I am very proud of the team's performance today," said head coach Mickey Wender. "I was pleased with the team's attitude, effort and execution. We're in a good place and right on track for peaking at the Patriot League Championships in 30 day. This team has a tremendous work ethic and continues to impress me with our ability to rise to the occasion on the road. We had great contributions across the board. Our plebes stepped up in a big way. The best is yet to come."

The Black Knights had an impressive showing in the 200 medley relay with a first-through-fourth sweep. Josh Sembrano, Joe Daniels, Austin Kong and Adam Sjoholm touched the wall first in 1:33.18. Evin Rude, Pat Wall, Sean Regan and Devin McCall were second with a time of 1:35.99.

Clay Harmon won the 1,000 free after clocking a 9:52.41. He was followed by Jason Hunt (10:05.53) and Garrett Simon (10:12.59) who were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jay Yang had a first-place time of 1:43.15 in the 200 free, while Zack Blankenbeker (1:46.06), Sean Regan (1:46.99) and Sean Martin (1:47.71) closed-out the top five.

Army swept in the 100 back with Sembrano leading the way with a time of 50.43. Matt McPheters had a time of 52.54 in second and was followed by Pierre Archambeau (53.33) and Alex Dempsey (53.90).

In the 100 breast, Daniels was Army's top finisher. He clocked a 57.45 to place second. Colin Kanzari (58.46) and Patrick Wall (1:00.04) were third and fourth, respectively.

Jason Rodriguez recorded a first-place time of 1:55.47 in the 200 fly, and was followed by McCall who notched a second-place time of 1:56.18.

Rude topped the 50 free for the Black Knights after touching the wall in 21.16. Brandon McCredie was second in 21.27.

Chris Szekely won the 100 free with a time of 46.95, while McCredie was second in 47.31.

The Black Knights finished one-two-three in the 200 back. Sembrano was first after recording a time of 1:52.27. Michael Stanchi finished second in 1:54.64 and Dempsey was third in 1:54.80.

In the 200 breast, Daniels was first after touching the wall in 2:07.91. He was followed by Ander Thompson (2:13.74), Clay Harmon (2:13.82) and Nick Treiberg (2:15.68) who were second-through-fifth.

Yang and Tom Ottman went one-two in the 500 free with times of 4:25.95 and 4:38.07. Rude then won the 100 fly for the Black Knights after touching the wall in 51.35.

Joe Frullaney and Edward Emery went one-two on the 1-meter. Frullaney tallied 254.33 points, while Emery earned a mark of 223.65. Emery was then third off the 3-meter with a score of 191.03.

Army improved its lead over Colgate to 55-6 in the all-time series and continued its undefeated streak over Lafayette at 13-0.

The Cadets will be back in action on Sunday, Jan. 24, when they travel to George Mason to face the Patriots and American.Â
