Prior to West Point: Played high school softball at Randolph High School, located in Randolph, New Jersey… Played all four years as a starter, earning two First Team All-Conference honors, two Second Team All-Conference honors, the Morris County Coaches Award and the NJAC award… Saw travel ball experience with NJ Intensity for three years, Morris County Belles three years and Town Travel for four years… Off the field, Smith was a four-year principal honor roll honoree plus earned an Environmental Science award… Involved in high school’s science national honor society, math national honor society and key club, plus was a volunteer softball coach… Her father, Christopher Smith, served as a captain in the Army… Her mother, Erin, competed at the collegiate level in swimming at the University of Vermont.
