Josh Werk arrived at West Point as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in September of 2013 before being elevated to his current role as an Associate Athletic Trainer in 2017.
Werk currently works with Black Knights’ men’s rugby program and serves as the Army West Point Athletic Association’s (AWPAA) drug testing coordinator. Prior to working with the men’s rugby team, Werk spent time with Army’s men’s soccer and baseball programs.
Before coming to West Point, Werk spent four years at Minnesota State University Moorhead where he earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and exercise science. Werk then went on to collect his master’s in the arts of teaching at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb., while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the volleyball, wrestling and track and field teams.
A BOC certified athletic trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Werk is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Armed Forces Athletic Training Society.
