Shaylyn O’Keefe joined the Army West Point Athletic Association in June of 2022 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and primarily works with the Women’s Soccer and Men’s Gymnastics teams.
Prior to arriving at West Point, O’Keefe worked at the United States Naval Academy for the 2021-2022 Academic year. While at USNA she served as an athletic training fellow for the men’s soccer team, as well as the men’s and women’s club hockey teams.
Originally a native of Michigan, O’Keefe received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in athletic training from the University of Michigan in 2015. After receiving her bachelor’s degree O’Keefe pursued her master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma while also serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the University of Oklahoma men’s tennis and Softball teams.
O’Keefe is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification, a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and college athletic trainers’ society. She is currently American Red Cross CPR/AED certified and First Aid certified.
