No. 14 Men’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 18 Loyola Maryland for 2026 Patriot League Championship Game

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The No. 18 ranked and #1 seed Army West Point men's lacrosse team hosts the No. 18 and #2 seed Loyola Maryland Greyhounds on Sunday for the 2026 rendition of the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Championship game at Michie Stadium.
The Black Knights (12-3, 6-2 Patriot League) last faced the Greyhounds (10-5, 6-2 Patriot League) in Baltimore on April 18 and emerged with a 15-9 victory. The two last faced off in the Patriot League tournament in 2023 when the Black Knights defeated the Greyhounds 10-8 in the title game in Boston.

National Rankings: The Black Knights earned a spot in three national polls this week. Army ranked 14th on the USILA Week 12 Coaches' Poll, 14th on the Inside Lacrosse Nike Lacrosse Week 12 Media Poll, and 16th in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll.
Patriot League Postseason Awards: For the third consecutive season, Army collected three of the Patriot League's major postseason awards. Evan Plunkett earned Offensive Player of the Year, John Sullivan earned Defensive Player of the Year, and Sean Byrne earned Goalkeeper of the Year. Keagan Treacy joined the trio on the First Team All-Patriot League while Hill Plunkett and Aiden Weisenborn represented Army on the Second Team All-Patriot League and Gunnar Fellows earned Patriot League All-Academic honors.
