National Rankings: The Black Knights earned a spot in three national polls this week. Army ranked 14th on the Inside Lacrosse Nike Lacrosse Week 10 Media Poll, 15th on the USILA Week 10 Coaches' Poll, and 16th in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll.
Scoring Surge: The Black Knights' sophomores and seniors have contributed a combined 205 of Army's total 232 points this season. The sophomores (a.k.a. yearlings or yuks) boast a combined 105 while Army's seniors (a.k.a. firsties) are responsible for 100 of those points. Firstie Evan Plunkett leads all Army scorers with 46 points while yuk Hill Plunkett and firstie Gunnar Fellows tie for second on the team with 38 points each.
History in the Making: Seniors Evan Plunkett and Gunnar Fellows are steadily climbing Army's scoring records in their fourth season with the Black Knights. Plunkett stands 12th all-time with 170 total points while Fellows' 151 total points tie him for 17th in program history.
Draft News: Army saw one of its ranks selected in the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft on Tuesday as Evan Plunkett heard his name called fourth overall by the Denver Outlaws.
National Leaderboard: Senior goalkeeper Sean Byrne currently stands second in the nation in save percentage (.602) and seventh in the nation in goals-against average (8.67).
Balanced Offensive Production: Army's offense tallied 24 points against Michigan on February 21 to earn its fourth win of the season the season with 13 goals and 11 assists. The Black Knights also scored 24 points at Bucknell with 14 goals and 10 assists.
A Tip of the Hat: At least one Black Knight has scored a hat trick in all 12 of Army's games this season with two hat tricks against Lafayette, Mercer, Michigan, Bucknell, and Navy. Gunnar Fellows leads the way with five hat tricks. Hill Plunkett, Evan Plunkett, and Brayden Fountain all earned hat tricks against Navy.
Mid-season All-Americans: Seniors Evan Plunkett and Sean Byrne each earned recognition as Nike Lacrosse Media Mid-season All-Americans earlier this month. Plunkett earned First Team honors while Byrne earned a spot on the Third Team.
Series History: Army currently holds a 10-9 record against the Greyhounds, dating back to their first meeting in 1943 - a 9-3 win for Army. Army last faced Loyola in West Point on April 25, 2025 where the Black Knights earned an 18-6 win over Loyola led by Jackson Eicher's six point day.

Currently stands 12th among Army's all-time scoring leaders. Second-highest career point scorer for the Black Knights since John Glesener in 2015 (208) after Brendan Nichtern in 2022 (284). - Gunnar Fellows (senior, attack) – Tied for team lead with 26 goals this season, adds 12 assists for a tied-for-team-second 38 points this season. Among active NCAA DI players, stands 13th in the nation in career goals (110) and 25th in career points (151). Currently stands tied for 17th among Army's all-time scoring leaders.
- Sean Byrne (senior, goalkeeper) – Leads the Patriot League in goals against average (8.67) and in save percentage (.602). Stands second in the nation in save percentage and seventh in the nation in goals against average. Anchors an Army defense that ranks fourth in the nation in man-down defense (.821), eighth in the nation in scoring defense (8.83), and 11th in the nation in scoring margin (3.58).
- John Sullivan (senior, defense) – Leads the Black Knights with 18 caused turnovers this season. Adds 19 ground balls to his stat line to help Army lead its opponents with 107 caused turnovers to 84 and 363 ground balls to 328 over 12 games played.
- Keagan Treacy (senior, defensive midfielder) – Stands second on the team in caused turnovers with 10 and tallies 16 ground balls over the season. Helps run an Army midfield that holds its opponents to a .867 clear percentage and to a .179 extra-man percentage.
