Swimming & Diving Place Five on 2025 Patriot League All-Academic Teams
February 27, 2025 | Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point swimming & diving continued to earn accolades for its 2024-25 campaign as five of its ranks were selected to the 2025 Patriot League Swimming & Diving All-Academic Teams, tied for the second most athletes on the two teams.
The Black Knights were represented by Meghan Cole, Margaret Kroening, Molly Webber, Clara Williams on the women's All-Academic Team and by Joey Kling on the men's All-Academic Team.
"Being named to a conference's All-Academic Team is the ultimate measure of a true student-athlete and here at Army West Point it means even more - as our cadet-athletes take on so much outside of the pool," said Director of Swimming & Diving Brandt Nigro. "Their course loads are of 20+ credit hours per semester and their requirements in company often pull them from time they could spend studying or recovering. So, to achieve the level of combined success that these five cadet-athletes have in this environment is truly special! They have elevated our program inside and out. It's the work-ethic, focus, and high standard that they have set for themselves that will set them up to be strong leaders of character in the US Army after they graduate!"
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

The four-time All-Partiot League selection won the 400 free relay, earned second place in the 50 free and the 200 free relay, and placed third in the women's 200 medley relay.
