Men’s Rugby Alumni in Full Force at the RugbyTown 7s

GLENDALE, COLORADO– Twelve men's rugby alumni are set in Colorado for the RugbyTown 7s professional tournament.
Seven recent alumni— Former captain of the national championship Army team Nolan Green '22, Gannon Conrad '23, Maxwell Sacket '22, Benjamin Kelly '22, Johnathan Kim '18, Patrick Oglesbee '24, and Donovan Smith '22—will compete for the All-Army team, aiming to claim their 10th U.S. Armed Forces Championship title in 2024. They will face off against teams such as All-Marine Rugby 7s, All-Navy Rugby, Department of Air Force Rugby, and U.S. Coast Guard.
The team will be well-guided, with four Black Knight alumni— Andy Locke '07, Jacob Lachina '18, Nathaniel Conkey '00, and former captain Will Holder '12—serving as coaches and managers.
Additionally, recent Black Knight alum Lucas Pattinson '24 will join the action at RugbyTown 7s, having been the sole service academy member selected for the USA Men's U23 Sevens roster.
Following their 2023 victory and with USA Sevens gearing up for LA 2028, this year's RugbyTown 7s offers pipeline players an opportunity to compete against some of the world's top teams as they shape the future of the USA Sevens program.
The competition kicks off on Friday, August 23, at 11 AM MT and concludes on Sunday, August 25, with the Cup Final at 4:50 PM. The full schedule of competition is linked here.
