Softball is Bested by Bradley to Close Out the MTSU Invitational

MURFREESBORO, TN- The Army West Point softball team (2-17) faced off against Bradley (5-9) on Sunday morning in their final game at the MTSU Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Bradley seized the momentum early, scoring first in the opening inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Braves maintained their momentum over the next four innings, tallying six runs to surge to a 7-0 advantage heading into the remaining innings.
In the seventh inning, Parker Llantero blasted her first career home run into left field, putting the Black Knights on the scoreboard.
Ashton White led Army with two hits, while Llantero, Kayla Edwards, Emma Murchison, and Ellie Caldwell each contributed with one hit apiece.
Pitcher Katelyn Flanders (1-2) was credited with the loss for Army, with Breanna Izzo providing relief.
