No. 7 Men's Lacrosse Uses Fourth Quarter Comeback to Beat Colgate 10-9

HAMILTON, NY – The No. 7 Army West Point men's lacrosse team (9-1, 6-0 Patriot League) used a fourth quarter comeback to beat Colgate (1-7, 1-4 PL) 10-9.
This marks Army's ninth consecutive win as they remain undefeated in Patriot League play.
Gunnar Fellows scored his first ever hat trick and was the only multi-goal scorer for the Black Knights.
Army opened the scoring when Fellows scored a man down goal with 11:49 left in the first.
Colgate would respond with two goals in the span of six seconds and then took at 3-1 lead five minutes later.
Evan Plunkett netted his 15th goal of the year to make it at 3-2 game after one quarter.
Colgate scored just 58 seconds into the second to take a two goal advantage.
Seven seconds after Colgate went up three goals, Dawson Clark cut the deficit make to two making it 5-3 with 7:21 left in the first half.
Army opened the half on a 3-1 run to take a 7-6 lead with goals from Jacob Morin, Reese Burek, and Bailey O'Connor. The Raiders would re-take the lead with two goals to close the third quarter.
Fellows opened the fourth quarter scoring to knot the game up at 8-8.
He scored again to earn his first career hat trick to give the Black Knights a 10-9 lead with a 3:44 left in the game.
After a huge defensive stand in the dying seconds of the game, Army would hold on for a huge win on the road.
The Black Knights will be back in action on Saturday at noon at Michie Stadium when they take on No. 4 Cornell.
