No. 8 Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 20 Boston 12-11

WEST POINT, NY – Army West Point men's lacrosse (10-3, 7-1 Patriot League) fell in a heartbreaker 12-11 to No. 20 Boston (10-3, 7-1) on Friday night.
Will Coletti set the Army single season record for ground balls with his 114th of the year with 10:52 left in the first quarter. He had 13 today bringing the tally to 125 on the season.
Reese Burek opened the scoring just 1:34 into the game. After Boston tied it at one apiece Ryan Sposito scored to put the Black Knights up 2-1 and then gave them the lead again at 3-2 just a few minutes later.
Army used a four goal second quarter to take a 7-5 lead going into the break. Gunnar Fellows, Bailey O'Connor, Jacob Morin and Burek all netted goals.
Burek and Sposito led the way in the first half with their two goals each.
Coletti had a dominant first half in the faceoff circle going 9-14.
Boston came out fast in the third quarter, quickly tying things at 7-7 but then Burek netted his third goal of the game to put the Black Knights back in front.
Army took a 9-8 lead going into the fourth, but the Terriers used a 3-1 run to open the final frame to take an 11-10 lead with 6:54 left.
Colletti answered just eight seconds later to tie things back up.
Boston would score a few minutes later to regain a 12-11 lead that would hold for the final score.
Army now turns its attention to the Patriot League Tournament where they will face the highest remaining seed in Boston on Friday, May 5 at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
