Josh Scovens Repeats as Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the third time this season and the second week in a row, Josh Scovens has taken home Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
This is the first time since the 2016-17 season that an Army player has won rookie of the week three times, Matt Wilson also won three times prior to conference play. Kyle Wilson has the Army record, winning five times during the 2012-13 season.
Scovens had yet another standout performance in Army's win over UTSA, he had 25 points, five rebounds, and one block. It was his second straight game with 25+ points and his sixth consecutive game with 5+ boards. He has registered a block or steal in five straight games as well. He has had the two highest scoring games by an Army player this season.
He is the leading scorer and rebounder on the team while being second in assists and blocks.
Army now turns its attention to Merchant Marine as they look to build off of a huge road win at UTSA before the holiday break. The game will tip off at 1 PM on Dec. 30 at Christl Arena. It will stream on ESPN+
