Coach's Corner
"The team brought energy and focus into the meet tonight. I'm very proud of how the team competed and supported one another throughout. We had a great turn out from the corps and our swim & Dive families/fans, it made for a very exciting Friday night meet!
Our relay's came out swinging right from the start and set the tone for the rest of the meet. We decided to wear old tech suits for this meet to give us some practice reps with kick counts, stroke counts, timing, pacing, etc. We head to Greensboro next week for our mid-season invite and I'm hoping we can transition better to day 1 than we have in the past.
It was great to see our team compete so well tonight. We had a number of swimmers swim lifetime best times and even had a new academy record from Layne Peterson in the 200 Back which is awesome to see. We trained hard all week and have continued to build up over the last month. Monday marks 10 days until NC State and 31/32 Days until navy and our Olympic Trial LC Qualifier meet in Annapolis.
I'm excited to get back to work and continue to work for more!" - head coach Brandt Nigro
