April 29, 2022 | Men's Golf
HELLERTOWN, Pa. - The Army West Point golf team started the Patriot League Championship at the Steel Club with an opening round 13-over as a team and the Black Knights sit in sixth place on Friday.
Â
Army posted a team score of 301 and there is a tie at the top of the leaderboard heading into round two as Loyola and Lafayette entered the clubhouse at 6-over (294). Ryan Tall of the host Leopards leads on the individual leaderboard after a 3-under 69 to start the tournament.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
Coaches Corner with Chad Bagley
"Pleased with the quick start this morning, but we didn't finish the round like we wanted. All six of our players had some really good stretches of golf today. We need to try and extend those solid runs and eliminate how many shots we give back to the course. We'll be excited to get back out on the course tomorrow for round two."

NEXT UP
The Black Knights start Round Two of the Patriot League Championship at the Steel Club on Saturday morning. Katsenes will lead things off for Army at 8:54 a.m. and Theam the last to tee off at 9:39 a.m.
