Sammy Whipple Named CSFL Defensive Player of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point defensive back Sammy Whipple was named the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season announced on Monday.
Whipple had two interceptions in the 53-9 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on October 14. The Evansville, Ind. native also registered one tackle and had a pass break-up as the Black Knights won their third straight game.
Mikal Willeke also received honor roll acknowledgment for CSFL Offensive Player of the Week.
The Black Knights return home where they are 2-0 on the season to host Mansfield University at Shea Stadium on Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m.
