GAME NOTES: Army Takes on UTSA in the Alamodome

SATURDAY'S ARE FOR GAMEÂ DAY
• The Black Knights continue a two-game road trip as they head to San Antonio to take on the UTSA Roadrunners at 3:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
• Army is coming off a 24-21 double overtime loss at No.7 Michigan on Sept. 7.
• The contest will air live on NFL Network with Rhett Lewis, Max Starks and Molly Sullivan on the call. The game can also be heard on the Army Sports Network through the TuneIn app or goarmywestpoint.com.
THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The Black Knight defense limited Michigan to 340 yards of offense (108 on the ground, 232 through the air) and had three takeaways, all on fumble recoveries. Michigan lost only three fumbles last year (the fewest nationally) and had just 12 turnovers (8th nationally).
• The 340 yards Army held Michigan to are the third fewest for the Wolverines since the start of the 2018 season.
• Senior defensive back Elijah Riley finished with a career-high 13 tackles (9 solo) to go along with career-bests in sacks (2) and TFLs (2) at Michigan. The two sacks and forced fumble in the first quarter were the firsts of his career.
• Senior linebacker Cole Christiansen finished with 12 tackles (7 solo) to go along with a forced fumble at Michigan. He now has four double-digit tackle games for his career.
• Senior quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. had two rushing scores against the Wolverines, now giving him 20 for his career and has seven-straight games with a rushing TD. It was his fifth career multi-rushing TD game.
• Since the start of the 2017 season, the Cadets have won 22 of their last 28 games for a .786 winning percentage and are 22-4 over the last three seasons when kicking off prior to 7 p.m. Eastern.
• Army will play 13 regular-season games for the first time since 2003 and for only the second time in school history.
ARMY-UTSA HISTORY
• This will be the first ever meeting between Army and UTSA.
• This will be the 42nd time that the Black Knights will be facing a team from the state of Texas and the second
time this season (Rice). Army is 16-24-1 all-time against teams from The Lonestar State.
• This will be Army's eighth trip to the state of Texas since the start of the 2017 season. The Black Knights are 5-2 in games played in Texas during that time frame.
• Despite never facing UTSA, this will be the Black Knight's third trip to the Alamodome. The previous two trips both came in losses vs. Notre Dame on Nov. 12, 2016 and Nov. 18, 2006.
