- This marked Army's eighth trip to Texas since the 2017 season. The Black Knights are now 6-2 in those games during the stretch.Â
- West Point played its third ever game in the Alamodome and picked up its first win in the venue.Â
- UTSA won the toss and elected to defer.
- Game captains Cole Christiansen, Kelvin Hopkins Jr. and Elijah Riley were joined at the coin toss by Jack Sides, Ryan Velez and Cam Jones.Â
- The Black Knights honored the 1stArmored Division with their insignia on the back of their helmets.
- Army finished the game with 358 yards of offense, including a season-high 340 r\hing yards.Â
- Senior running back Kell Walker tallied two rushing touchdowns of 26 yards (first quarter) and 16 yards (fourth quarter). He finished with 80 yards on five carries (16.0 average) to go along with the two scores.Â
- It was Walker's third career multi-TD game and his first since 2017 at Rice (three scores).Â
- Sophomore quarterback Jabari Laws scored his first career touchdown on a 41-yard rushing score.Â
- In his first career start, the quarterback finished with 137 rushing yards on 23 carries and the touchdown. On the first play of the game from scrimmage, he recorded a 34-yard rush.Â
- He also was 2-for-2 passing with 18 yards through the air.
- Junior Artice Hobbs IV also finished with 54 yards on seven carries, with a long rush of 17 yards.Â
- Army's defense held UTSA to 260 yards of total offense and just 51 yards on the ground. The Black Knights have held its opponents to under 300 yards in two of their first three games. West Point's opponents are averaging 281.0 yards through the first three games.Â
- Army held UTSA scoreless in the first half, last doing it versus Navy at Lincoln Financial Field on December 8, 2018.Â
- Senior Elijah Riley recorded a strip sack in the first quarter. It marked his fifth and a half career sack and his second career forced fumble (second consecutive game).Â
- Riley finished with four solo tackles, the sack and forced fumble, and two tackles for loss (matching his career-high at Michigan last week).Â
- Senior linebacker Cole Christiansen led Army with nine tackles (6 solo) to go along with his second career sack and a forced fumble.Â
- Junior defensive back Javhari Bourdeau's third quarter forced fumble was the second of his career and his first since 2017 at Rice.Â
- Bordeau added to his takeaway total, as he recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter as time expired.
- Sophomore defensive lineman Kwabena Bonsu recorded a career-high six tackles (3 solo) to go along with a TFL and his second career fumble recovery.Â
- Senior defensive lineman Jacob Covington tallied his first career fumble recovery on the strip by Bordeau. Covington finished the game with his first career sack and a career-best 1.5 tackles for loss.Â
- Senior defensive back Cam Jones matched his career-high with seven tackles (5 solo).  Â
- On his first career field goal attempt, senior kicker David Cooper connected on a 40-yard field goal.Â
