Turner, Boubel Tabbed with AWPAA Weekly Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Nick Turner of golf and women's tennis sophomore Hannah Boubel shared Army West Point Athletic Association Athlete of the Week honors after helping their respective teams earn Patriot League Championships.
Turner Finished in a tie for the Patriot League individual title with a 2-under score for the tournament. He shot 3-under in the final two rounds to end up tied for the lead and bowed out in the first playoff hole. Turner was a first team All-Patriot League honoree and helped Army win its 12th Patriot League Title in program history and second of his career.
The Black Knights won their first conference title since 2016 over the weekend and heads to the NCAA Tournament. Army will learn where it is going for the regionals at 9 pm ET on the Golf Channel on Wednesday night.
Sophomore Hannah Boubel earned the John "Pat" Rooney Award winner as the most valuable player of the Patriot League Tournament on Sunday. The Fredericksburg, Texas, native defeated Sabrina Faybyshev 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, at the No. 5 singles position to clinch the team's second straight league title. Boubel notched her 15th singles win of the season and combined to go 3-0 in the tournament. Playing alongside fellow sophomore Sasha Inchauste, Boubel produced a perfect 2-0 record in doubles, including a win over Faybyshev and Katya Martins in the championship match.
Army locked up its 15th Patriot League title in program history and second in a row. This was the first time Army won consecutive league crowns without being the top seed either time.
Boubel and the Black Knights travel to Seattle to face No. 10 Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
