CLEVELAND – After a solid second day of competition at the CSCAA National Invitational, the Army West Point men's swimming team jumped to the seventh spot in the standings.
The Black Knights have compiled 273.5 points through two days. Indiana leads the field of 25 with 553 points, while California Baptist (445.5), Ohio State (373.5), George Washington (327), TCU (326.5) and Oakland (303) rank ahead of the Cadets.

WENDER'S WORDS
"It was a good day for both our men and women," head coach Mickey Wender said. "We moved up two spots on the men's side to help solidify our goal of finishing in the top-10 of the 40-plus teams. Brian McKenrick was the star of the night with two top-three finishes in the fly and back. All in all, we saw a lot of improvement and we're looking forward to wrapping things up tomorrow."

Army will round out the meet tomorrow with the preliminaries set for 9:30 a.m. and the finals scheduled to go down at 6 p.m.

ARMY NOTABLES
- The meet got started with a ninth-place showing in the 200 medley relay. Brian McKenrick, Evan Zhang, James Bilbrey and Hogan Harper combined to post a time of 1:29.04.
- Army scored in the 100 fly once McKenrick finished in third at 47.73.
- The sophomore later took third in the 100 back after recording a time of 47.52. Tyler Kim also scored for the Cadets in the event, placing 17th at 49.64.
- Kevin Lin notched an 18th-place finish in the 200 free after he touched the wall at 1:40.27.
- Zhang finished inside the top-10 in the 100 breast, recording a time of 54.34, which was good for ninth.
- The meet wrapped up with the 800 free relay and the squad of McKenrick, Lin, Tyler Kim and Jack Venker took ninth at 6:41.95.
