Army Welcomes Lehigh for Three-Game Set

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point softball team will be pinned against Lehigh this weekend in a three-game Patriot League series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday slated for noon.
Since 1989, the Black Knights and Mountain Hawks have squared off 120 times, with Lehigh holding a 85-35 all-time series advantage. Lehigh has been a thorn in the Cadets' side over the past few years, winning 16 of the last 20 regular season meetings since 2012.

ARMY (21-23, 6-6 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
- Army's six-game winning streak was snapped this past weekend when Holy Cross took the opening two games of the series in Worcester, Mass.
- The Black Knights tallied 18 base hits against the Crusaders, with five coming of the extra-base variety.
- Carrie Reilly is currently on a 13-game hitting streak as the cleanup hitter, which is the second-longest active streak in the Patriot League.
- During that span, she has accumulated 20 hits, 15 runs, 12 RBIs, five home runs and three doubles.
- Lacey Swafford has also been swinging a hot stick at the top of the lineup, riding an eight-game hitting streak that includes 13 hits, six RBIs and seven runs scored.
- Entering the final two weekends of the Patriot League season, as a team, Army ranks inside the top three in majority of offensive categories and second in ERA and strikeouts.
LEHIGH (16-22, 7-5 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
- After dropping two of three to Bucknell on April 14, Lehigh claimed three consecutive wins at home before playing to a 2-2 tie with Villanova on April 25.
- The Mountain Hawks have had majority of their success in Bethlehem, Pa., but away from the Lehigh Valley are 8-21.
- With a .310 average at the plate, Nicole Yozzo has been the table setter at the leadoff spot.
- She leads the team in runs scored with 24 and has swiped a league-best 36 bags in 39 attempts, which is good for the second best stolen base percentage in the nation.
- As a team, Lehigh is aggressive on the base paths accumulating 81 stolen bases in 39 games.
- In the circle, Parker Boyd has experienced the most success, compiling a team-best 3.11 ERA with 130 strikeouts in 146.1 innings of work. Â Â
