HOW IT HAPPENED

- Loyola scored the first goal of the contest three minutes in after a long defensive stand by Army.
- Four minutes later, DeWitt faded right on Jacob Stover to score weak side high.
- The Greyhounds then went on a 6-0 run to take a 7-1 lead halfway through the second period.
- The Black Knights snapped the streak when Barretto made a long clear to O'Brien in the right corner of Army's offensive zone.
- O'Brien dodged his defender on the catch and drew Jones' across the crease. He dished the ball off to Jones who scored on the edge of the crease.
- The Black Knights carried the momentum into the beginning of the third quarter when Glancy scored on a righty crease roll.
- The Greyhounds answered with two straight goals, but LaMonica scored off a pass from Jones to break up the streak with 8:53 to go in the third.
- Loyola scored one more, but a 2-0 run by Army closed out the third frame.
- Donovan skidded a low shot past Stover to cut the score in half.
- Then with six seconds remaining, DeWitt netted his second of the game on another right fade down the line.
- The momentum continued to shift in favor of Army at the start of the fourth.
- Manown and Alacqua moved the ball around the perimeter to set themselves up for a dish off and score two minutes into the frame to make it a three-goal game.
- The Greyhounds netted one two minutes later to extend their lead to 11-7.
- The two teams traded goals to close out the game at 12-8 in favor to the Greyhounds.
