WEST POINT, N.Y. – The 15/20th-ranked Army West Point men's lacrosse team returns to Michie Stadium this Saturday with a contest against #18 Bucknell. The Patriot League clash will begin at 12 p.m. from the Banks of the Hudson.

- Army is 4-1 at home this year and is 1-0 against ranked opponents at Michie.
- The Black Knights and Bison will meet for the 42nd time in the all-time series Saturday.
- Army holds a 29-13 edge over Bucknell which began in 1979.
- The Black Knights opened the series with 15-straight wins from 1979 to 1995.
- The Cadets are 15-7 when playing at Michie Stadium.
- Last season it was a close battle between Army and Bucknell. The Black Knights went up early and weathered off a late charge by the Bison to win the game, 11-10.
- Conor Glancy posted a hat trick in the contest, while AJ Barretto stopped nine shots including four in the fourth quarter.

- The Bison enter the weekend at 6-3 overall and 4-1 in Patriot League contests.
- Bucknell is one of three teams in the Patriot League to have four wins with just one loss after topping Loyola last weekend.
- Last weekend the Bison upset Loyola 11-10 on the road. The Greyhounds were ranked sixth at the time.
- Bucknell's lone league loss came against Navy on home turf on March 3.
- The Bison average 11.33 goals per game and is led in points by Will Sands at 5.67 per game.
- Connor O'Hara tops the team in goals per game with 3.00.
- Army will see Witzal Jarett on the faceoff. He has a 47% success rate.
- Christian Klipstein is Bucknell's primary goalie with a 9.87 goals against average and a .481 save percentage.
MAKING RANK
- The Cadets lead the nation in scoring defense with just 6.63 goals allowed per game.
- This has allowed Army to rank eighth nationally in scoring margin (3.63).
- Army's defensive core is responsible for 9.44 caused turnovers per game to rank sixth in college lacrosse.
- Johnny Surdick leads the squad with 14 caused turnovers and sits tied for 12th in the country in caused turnovers per game at 2.00.
- Barretto's 6.61 goals against average is good for second in college lacrosse.
- Army has allowed seven or less goals in all of its wins this season.
- The Black Knights have also held their opponents to under five goals on three occasions.
- Offensively, Army has reached double-digit goals on four occasions, three in victories.
MILESTONE TRACKER
- After last week's hat trick, Nate Jones is four points away from the 100 club.
- Once broken, the junior will join 32 others who have accomplished this feat in Army's 101-year history.
- The 2018 senior class currently has 37 wins. If the Cadets capture four more they tie the record at 41. This was set by the Class of 1985 and tied by last year's Class of 2017.
- Junior goalie Barretto is one groundball shy of 100 in his career, while Jon LaMonica and Surdick stand at 97 groundballs each.
AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH
- April marks Autism Awareness month and it will be the second year in a row that Army will don the helmet decal in honor of the cause.
- They decided to add the logo on the back of the helmet after Ashton Guidi of Goshen, N.Y., sent Coach Alberici a handwritten letter asking the team "stand up for the little guy" last season.
- This year, Ashton wrote a letter to the rest of the league inviting them to help spread awareness as well.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
- The Army West Point men's lacrosse team is ranked 15th this week in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse/Nike Coaches Poll and 20th in the Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media Poll.
- The Black Knights are now 5-3 on the year and are 2-2 in the Patriot League.
CLASS OF 2018
- The senior class boasts 37 wins in their careers in an Army uniform and are three off of a program rec-ord.
- The group accounts for 62 points, 119 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers through the first eight games of the season.
- Army's seniors have produced half of the offensive points so far.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Army West Point men's lacrosse team fell to Colgate, 8-6, on Saturday.
- The Black Knights took a 4-1 lead after the first quarter, but six straight goals by the Raiders would put the game out of reach for the Cadets.
- Nate Jones scored a natural hat trick with three goals in a row during the first-quarter run.
- Glancy returned to Army's lineup with two goals and an assist and has now notched a goal in all of his appearances on the year.
- The senior co-captain also added a team-leading five groundballs.
EARLY ARMY LEADERS
- Jones leads the Black Knights offensively with 22 points. He tops the team with 16 goals and is followed by Glancy (14) and David Symmes (11).
- John Ragno boasts a .577 faceoff efficiency and is fifth on the team in ground balls with 19.
- LaMonica leads the squad with 38 groundballs, while Surdick has 26.
- Barretto has made 60 saves. He averages 6.61 goals against and has a .550 save percentage.
NATIONAL AUDIENCE
- After this weekend, the Black Knights will play on CBS Sports Network for the next three contests.
- The first matchup on national television is at Boston University on April 7 at 3:15 p.m. as part of a Patri-ot League tripleheader.
- The following week the greatest rivalry in college lacrosse, Army-Navy, takes center stage at Michie Stadium with a noon faceoff on April 14.
- The final regular season game for the Black Knights on CBS Sports Network will be the last Patriot League matchup of the season at Loyola at 7 p.m. on April 20.
- The semifinal and championship rounds of the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Championship will be televised by CBS Sports Network for the 10th-consecutive season.
- The semifinal round is set for Friday, April 27, with the championship game scheduled for Sunday, April 29. All three games will be hosted by the tournament's top overall seed.
