Army Opens League Slate with Trio of Home Matches

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team begins Patriot League play at home this weekend as it welcomes Lafayette, Holy Cross and Loyola to the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
Matches against the Leopards and Crusaders are scheduled for Friday at 2:30 and 7 p.m., respectively, while the contest opposite the Greyhounds will be Sunday at 9 a.m.
ARMY (12-5, 0-0 Patriot League)
• Army got back in the win column with a 6-1 victory over Bryant after seeing its six-match winning streak snapped against UConn, 5-2.
• Rookie Hannah Boubel sports a team-best 24-10 record in singles and is tied for the most singles dual wins with seven.
• She leads a group of four Cadets with at least 15 singles victories on the year.
• The doubles team of Ana Joyner and Melanie Allen boast a team-best 16-9 mark.
LAFAYETTE (6-6, 0-0 Patriot League)
• Army holds a 23-10 edge in the all-time series against the Leopards.
• Lafayette enters the weekend having dropped its last three matches to Savannah State (4-3), George Mason (6-1) and Villanova (6-1).
HOLY CROSS (3-7, 0-2 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights own a 23-2 advantage in the series with the Crusaders.
• Holy Cross has been shut out in its last three matches, 7-0, against Sacred Heart, Boston University and Colgate.
• Caroline Kam sports a team-best 5-4 record in singles play.
• Katie Elia, Meghan Lewis, Katya Martin and Kam are all tied for the best doubles record on the squad at 4-7.
LOYOLA (6-1, 0-1 Patriot League)
• The Cadets control a 3-0 lead in the all-time series with the Greyhounds.
• After winning its first six matches of the spring, Loyola dropped a 6-1 decision to Lehigh.
