Women’s Tennis Beats Bucknell to Advance to Patriot League Semifinals

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For Army West Point women's tennis on Friday, a new season meant the same job.

And the Black Knights skipped no beats on their way to a dominant, 4-0 win over the Bucknell Bison in the Patriot League Championships Quarterfinal at Bucknell.

Army's doubles point served as a tone-setter for the rest of the afternoon. The Black Knights got wins on doubles courts two and three, before Emma Sy, Emily Ruckno and Ylan Duong recorded one-sided, straight sets wins in singles on courts three, four and five.

Madison Smith, Vennmukiil Mathivanan and Stacey Samonte each recorded first set wins in their respective unfinished matches.
