Sprint Football Unveils Title Defense Slate for 2018

2018 SPRINT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point sprint football team has unveiled the schedule from which it will defend its Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) championship title with for the 2018 season on Tuesday.
"I'm extremely excited for my players," said head coach Mark West. "We open our season by playing our first two games on the road against some of the best competition in the league. It's the type of challenge I want our cadets to have because it's these type of challenges that will prepare us well for future battles."
The Black Knights open their season on the road for the first two games, beginning with a matchup at Chestnut Hill on Sept. 14. The annual Star game between Army and service-academy rival Navy is slated for the second week on Sept. 21 in Annapolis, Md. The Cadets earned a 40-6 victory over the Mids last season, breaking the 40-point threshold against Navy for the first time since 1998.
Army then returns to face CSFL-newcomer St. Thomas Aquinas in its home-opener on Sept. 29 with a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Black Knights remain home on Oct. 12 for a rematch of last year's inaugural CSFL Championship versus Penn at 7 p.m.
The Cadets hit the road to face Post on Oct. 20 before playing their final two games of the regular season at the familiar confines of Shea Stadium against Franklin Pierce on Oct. 27 and Cornell on Nov. 2. The two home games are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
The CSFL Championship game is slated for Nov. 10 with the location and start time to be determined.
