WEST POINT, N.Y. – After weeks of preparation, the Army West Point men's swimming and diving team will return to the pool on Wednesday for the Patriot League Championships in Annapolis, Md. The meet will run through Saturday with a preliminaries and finals format.Â

ARMY NOTABLES
- The Black Knights have posted several quality times this season in comparison to the other Patriot League squads.
- Tom Ottman has performed well in the distance events and currently holds the top time in the league in the 1650 free at 15:28.50. He also ranks fourth in the 1000 (9:11.33) and third in the 500 (4:27.26) free.
- Johnny Ellery (47.91) and Kevin Doo (47.95) swam to the two fastest times in the 100 fly, both NCAA B times. Ellery also holds the best time in the 200 fly (1:45.15) with Doo ranking third with a NCAA B time of 1:46.97.
- Reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Meet, Peter Mikheyev, will look to have another solid championships. In the 200 free at the Star Meet this season, he posted a NCAA B time of 1:37.58.
- Josh Sembrano will highlight the backstroke events, currently holding the third-fastest 100 (48.84) and 200 (1:46.74) times. Â

- "We couldn't be more excited for the Patriot League Championships," head coach Mickey Wender said. "The team is ready to swim fast and race hard. Everything that we have done this semester has been focused on this event. Our training has progressed well and our recent meets have been challenging and preparing us to be at our best when it matters the most. Our goal is to post lifetime-best swims and dives."
