AMHERST, Mass. – The Army West Point men's swimming and diving team won 12 events en route to a 176-113 dual victory against UMass on Friday night at Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool.
The win against the Minutemen was a significant one as head coach Mickey Wender captured the 400th victory of his career.

"I am so proud and honored to share the experience of my 400th win with the finest young men and women in America, as well as my staff," Wender said. "It's humbling to think that I've been at this for 29 years. I have loved every second of it. I love this team and have no doubt that this will be the best season in program history.
"It was a great day for our team," Wender added. "We we're very tough and raced hard. This was a tough week and the team responded well."

The win against the Minutemen was a significant one as head coach Mickey Wender captured the 400th victory of his career.
ARMY NOTABLES
- The Black Knights defeated the Minutemen for the 11th time in program history.
- Kevin Doo set a pool record in the 100 fly at 48.81.
- The Black Knights began the meet with a first-place showing in the 200 medley relay once the squad of Brian McKenrick, Ty Dang, Johnny Ellery and Brandon McCredie swam to a time of 1:33.96.
- Tom Ottman (9:28.71), Kevin Lin (9:47.48) and Ryan Lewis (9:53.95) then took the top-three spots in the 1000 free.
- Ottman (4:35.64), Lin (4:42.69) and Graham Ungrady (4:48.62) showed out in the 500 free, finishing with the three-best times.
- In the 200 free, Ungrady topped the competition with a time of 1:43.58, with Jack Machorek (1:44.87) and Nick Isenhower (1:46.04) finishing right behind.
- McKenrick (51.17) and Jay Yang (52.10) placed first and second, respectively, in the 100 back.
- Yang later went on to win the 200 back after touching the wall at 1:52.24.
- The 100 breast was highlighted by Dang and Doo, who finished in the top-two spots with times of 57.33 and 57.88, respectively.
- Dang also posted the best time in the 200 breast after finishing at 2:04.93.
- In the 200 fly, Ellery (1:52.83) and James Bilbrey (1:54.37) swam to the best times in the field.
- The 50 free was highlighted by Josh Zock's first-place showing with a time of 21.09. McCredie was quick to follow at 21.15, which was good for second.
- The top-three spots in the 100 free went to Doo (46.35), Nathan Hein (46.99) and Hogan Harper (47.68).
- On the 1-meter board, Hudson Kay was the top finisher with a total score of 288.07.
