Army to Host Red Foxes on Sunday Night

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Coming off a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Siena, the Army West Point men's soccer team is prepared to welcome Marist to Malek Stadium at Clinton Field for a Sunday night matinee slated for 7 p.m.
The Black Knights return to post with the most wins in the Patriot League and the second best overall record. The Red Foxes have played to an even 3-3 mark through the first six games and are currently tied for fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) standings.
Army and Marist have met a total of 18 times dating back to 1982 with the Red Foxes holding the all-time series advantage 12-4-2. The two sides last met on Sept. 4, 2016, when the Red Foxes captured a 2-1 victory in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
ARMY (4-2, 0-0 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• The Black Knights halted a two-game skid with a 1-0 victory over Siena on Wednesday.
• Army outshot the Saints 23-2 on the afternoon, the fewest shots allowed by an Army defense since allowing two in a 3-0 win over Syracuse on Nov. 11, 1992.
• Dating back to last season, the Black Knights have recorded double-digit shots in 13 straight outings.
• Sophomore Keenan O'Shea is tied for first in the Patriot League in assists after dishing out his fourth helper on the year.
• Army is first in the league in goals (9), points (26) and fewest goals allowed (3), while sitting second in assists (8).
• Sophomore goalkeeper Justin Stoll ranks first in the league in goals-against average (.480) and save percentage (.833).
