WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's lacrosse team hits the road for its first ever contest in Annapolis, Md., against the Midshipmen of Navy Saturday. The game will begin at 1 p.m., from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

SCOUTING ARMY
- Army fell to Holy Cross Wednesday afternoon by a score of 12-9. The Crusaders jumped ahead early in the game and although the Black Knights tied it up, Holy Cross never relinquished its lead.
- Manuela Cortes led the Black Knights with a hat trick, while Samantha Stewart netted two goals and added a helper and Rachel Hornick had a goal and two assists. Amy Johnston tallied a goal and an assist, while Kiersten Spencer and Erin Jollota also notched scores.
- Cortes is first on the team with 31 goals this season and a 2.82 goals per game average to rank her second in the league.
- Hornick boasts 27 total goals, while Johnston (18) and Stewart (10) are also double-digit goal scorers for the Black Knights.
- In the assists column, Jollota leads the squad with 15, while Johnston has dished out 10 helpers.
- On the defensive side of the ball, Cortes and Spencer have each picked up 19 groundballs as Johnston tallied 18 and Stewart and Kayla Rowley have notched 17 apiece. Rowley's 2.83 groundballs per game ranks her second in the conference.
- Shelby Lindsay paces Army's defense with 16 caused turnovers and is followed by Spencer (11), Stewart (10) and Madeline Leahy (10).
- On the draw circle, Johnston takes the top spot for the Cadets with 3.37 per game. This also pushes her to sixth in the league.
SCOUTING NAVY
- The Mids opened league play on Wednesday evening with a 16-9 win over Lehigh fueled by Andie Sullivan's seven-goal performance.
- Meg O'Donnell aided in the offensive efforts with a hat trick as Kelly Larkin added a team-leading four assists.
- Larkin currently leads the squad with 44 points on 25 goals and 19 assists. Her 1.90 assists per game places her fourth in the conference.
- Jenna Collins ranks third in the Patriot League in goals per game (2.80), third in draw controls per game (3.30) and seventh in assists per game (1.50).
- Ingrid Boyum has served as Navy's primary goalie this season and leads the league with 9.10 goals against average.
