SKOKIE, Ill. – The Army West Point golf team finished the opening round at the Windon Memorial Classic in eighth place.

The Black Knights compiled a score of 282 (+2) on the first day to sit in front of notable programs such as Iowa State, Northern Illinois, and Princeton after the first day.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Matt Plunkett and Nick Turner are tied for 15th place at one-under par with a score of 69. Gunnar Doyle, James McKee and Dean Sakata all turned in scores of 72 (+2) for 41st place.
• The second round, which began on Saturday was halted due to darkness. Play will resume on Sunday to finish the second round at 7:30 am CT, then re-pair the field and have a 10 am CT shotgun start for the third and final round.
