Seniors Garrison Franklin, Ben Smith, Justin Reece, Jack Verrill, Patrick Gardner, Justin French, Jacob Page, Ryan Levenhagen, Brock Davidson and manager Matt Pope will all be recognized for their contributions to the program over the last four years.
Army enters the series with a record of 15-28, while going 5-11 in Patriot League contests. Lehigh comes into the weekend with a mark of 19-26 and 7-9 in league play. The series with Lehigh could have playoff implications as it is Army's last chance to make a push for the Patriot League Tournament. While currently in sixth place, a series victory could vault the Black Knights into contention for one of the remaining two playoff spots.
The Black Knights are coming off an 8-3 victory over Marist in the Rock 93.3 Hudson Valley Baseball Classic from Dutchess Stadium to take a 6-5 advantage in the game's 11-year history. A six-run sixth inning powered Army past the Red Foxes, followed by a two-run home run by Page capping the scoring in the top of the ninth.
Lehigh, which is currently fourth in the Patriot League standings, comes to West Point riding a five-game winning streak that started with a sweep of Lafayette last weekend.
The Mountain Hawks' offense has been powered by Mike Garzillo, who is hitting at a .313 clip after going 52-for-166 through the first 45 games of the season. Garzillo leads the team in runs (43), home runs (six), extra base hits (22), total bases (89), walks (24), on-base percentage (.419), slugging percentage (.536) and stolen bases (nine).
On the mound, Mark Washington posts a team-best 2.37 earned run average. The sophomore righty sports a 4-1 record while allowing 24 hits through 30.1 innings of work.
